Research Council Regulations approved on 30 September 2026

Pursuant to Resolutions No. 9 and 10 adopted at the 1st meeting of the Executive Council held on 30 September 2026, the North Lakhimpur University Regulations for the Research Council and Award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), 2026, have been approved.

The Interim Research Council has been replaced by the regular Research Council, constituted in accordance with the newly approved regulations. The regulations have come into effect immediately.

Composition of the Research Council

As prescribed under Regulation 5(1) of the North Lakhimpur University Regulations for the Research Council and Award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), 2026, the Research Council comprises the following members:

The Academic Registrar

The Dean, Research & Development
Member Secretary
5.
The Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology

6.
The Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences

The DRC Chairpersons of the Ph.D.-offering Departments of the University
Members
8.
Two (2) professors who are recognized supervisors of the University, one each from the Faculty of Science & Technology and the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences
