Restricted Holidays

Each member of the teaching as well as non-teaching staff of the University may avail two restricted holidays from the list of restricted holidays notified in the official document. Employees desirous of availing restricted holidays must apply for leave to the competent authority and obtain necessary approval in advance.

Important Instructions

1. Necessary notification shall be issued if any of the holidays or restricted holidays for the occasions notified above does not fall on the date mentioned.
2. Additional holidays, if any, shall be applicable as and when duly notified by the competent authority of the University.
3. Dates of Summer Vacation and Winter Break shall be mentioned separately in the Academic Calendar.
4. Any other days declared as holidays by the district administration under Section 25 of the NI Act, 1888 (XXIV of 1881) / State Government shall also be observed as holidays. No further notification shall be issued by the University administration in such cases.
